Barb Krog, four time winner of the much-coveted Cook Off Award, and Elysia Resort's chef in 2004, 2007 and 2009 has agreed to join us again for the 2010 season.

Barb Krog is the Queen of comfort food. Many of you might remember her for her out-of-this-world soups and to-die-for desserts. Never mind her roast turkey with apple stuffing, and her crisp and tender halibut fish & chips. Barb, with her ready smile at the kitchen window, has become a legend at Elysia Resort.

Our menu will offer such items as ribs, steaks, lasagna, fish & chips, hamburgers and lots of other tasty treats reminiscent of days gone by. We will still have our legendary Saturday night Prime Rib with Yorkshire Pudding.

Cooking Your Catch
The fish caught in Quesnel Lake are considered to be some of the sweetest and tastiest fish anywhere, due to the clean, clear, deep water that they swim and eat in. If you like eating your catch, we would be happy to cook it for you in an array of different ways!

Or, we can smoke your catch so you can take it home and share some of the memories. . . and, it's oh so good!

Gourmet Picnic Lunches
Bottom line, we make awesome lunches. If you are on any of our plans or packages, we custom make your lunches every morning, in order for you to take it with you on your all-day adventure. Your lunch consists of pop or juice, coffee or tea, water, a morning snack, fruit, an afternoon snack, and a Dagwood-like sandwich, thick with your choice of meats, veggies and cheese. We will adapt to any diet.

Even if you are not on a plan or package, we are happy to make you a lunch "To Go!"

If you want something extra special, we can do that too! We have been known to make romantic lunches with fruit, cheeses, homemade bread, and wine, right down to the checkered tablecloth. Or, we can build you a shore lunch box, complete with everything you need to light a fire on shore, and cook your catch (Don't worry, we include hot dog makings just in case you get skunked!).

Theme Dinner Events
One of the best ways to enjoy the excellent cuisine at Elysia Resort is at an eclectic and enjoyable theme event.

For example, August is our annual Hawaiian Luau; a Hawaiian dinner menu with roast suckling pig on a spit, Hawaiian music & a limbo contest. Fresh 'n' fruity Mai Tai's or Elysia Tropical Kisses await you! Wear a hula skirt if you dare!
